Songs that matter to you (or not) — Aqua — Barbie Girl

The song, enjoy 😉,

Do you remember Barbie & Ken?

When I was a boy, I did not play with Barbie & Ken, my favorite toys where the Matchbox cars & Lego bricks.

I spend hours playing with both.

Nowadays I still play with those famous bricks that saw the daylight almost 85 years ago.

But if you are a woman reading this, I am sure you are familiar with the barbie dolls (& Ken).

They released the first barbie doll on March 9, 1959.

Ken was introduced two years after Barbie in 1961. They named Ken after Ruth Handler’s son.

Ruth Handler and her husband Elliot, founded the toy company Mattel, Inc in 1945.

No one really knows how many dolls till this day have been sold, but according to Mattel they sell 3 dolls per second, so that means we talking about over a billion Barbie dolls sold worldwide in over 150 countries!

Top Toy Trends Of 2021

According to The Toy Association, Inc. because of the pandemic, families rediscover the joys of spending time together and find value in bringing play into their daily lives.

This trend includes educational toys and activities that families can use to help their children learn new skills and subjects.

Fueled by the pandemic, toys and games have been a means of escapism for adults and offer a way to reconnect with their own inner child. Bring some joy and levity into their lives.

Let there be music… YouTube and TikTok that have become incubators for viral music and dance crazes, toys that get kids moving and grooving expect to grow in the toy aisles.

Toys aren’t just for fun. Playing together is the best way to help kids process their emotions. This year will see a growing demand for toys that help develop children’s social and emotional learning (SEL) skills; toys that promote mindfulness and self-care.

Oh, I’m having so much fun!

You want to go for a ride?

I’m a Barbie girl, in the Barbie world
