Never think that war, no matter how necessary, nor how justified, is not a crime.

Songs that matter to you (or not) — Where Is The Love? — The Black Eyed Peas

The song, enjoy 😉

Never think that war is not a crime…

The title of this “peace of mind” comes from the brain of the writer Ernest Hemingway.

American novelist and short-story writer, awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1954.

At 18, he was an ambulance driver for the Red Cross in World War I.

He suffered physically and mentally from the horrors of war.

As a novelist, he used his writing to show the criminality of the war.

Ukraine is suffering from an invasion by Russia for over 30 days now…

Not a day goes by that my local news channel reports about this war.

Empty and destroyed playgrounds, children hiding in bomb shelters instead of enjoying the swing.

Civilian neighbourhoods bombarded, left in ruins.

Dead bodies everywhere…

Feeling uneasy, even embarrassed, because I think that this is wrong, or that there is danger is nothing compared to the people that have to live this horror day in and out for more than 30 days now.

Not knowing when this will end…

Where is the love?

As the song goes…

People killin’ people dyin’
Children hurtin’, I hear them cryin’
Can you practice what you preachin’?
Would you turn the other cheek again?
Mama, mama, mama, tell us what the hell is goin’ on
Can’t we all just get along?
Father, father, father help us
Send some guidance from above
’Cause people got me, got me questioning

Where’s the love?

Let me close this “peace of mind” of me the “Heming way”…

It doesn’t make a damned bit of difference who wins the war to someone who’s dead.

Till next song that matters to you (or not)
