Italy won UEFA European Championship final!
Italy has won the European Football Championship after a thriller of a match against England. They defeated the English on home soil at Wembley Stadium after an unlikely penalty shootout.
The match kicked off at 9pm at Wembley Stadium, in west London, and it was not until just before midnight that they settled the match in favor of the Italians.
Instead of “coming home,” it became “coming to Rome,”
The evening that the English hoped would be a celebration for them, was already marred by violence around Wembley stadium. Supporters who could not get a ticket for the match still tried to break into Wembley stadium. Many have apparently succeeded. According to eyewitnesses, they took advantage of the lack of sufficient police officers and guards around the stadium.
After the match it was literally dripping off in rainy London. The disappointment was great.
Meanwhile, in Italy…
Only a thousand Italian fans traveled to the British capital from their home country, the Italian football federation FIGC said.
Therefore, forced most Italians to follow the match in their own country, such as in Milan.
After the match the joy was enormous, and a solid party bursted out afterwards.
